Family Gathering 2017 (2) : Moment of Rejoice

Yesterday, our big family were headed to our beloved sister, Dr Anita's house, to meet her as well as our nephews and nieces.

As usual, as the best aunties and uncle in the world, we were trying to entertain the kids to the fullest. However it is just enough to entertain them by bringing them to picnic and cycling at Taman Botani Putrajaya.

There we were at Taman Botani Putrajaya.











After having fun at Taman Botani Putrajaya, we visited Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque which also known as Iron Mosque. The mosque located at Precint 3, Putrajaya. Nearby the mosque are Palace of Justice and Islamic Center. We were astonished with the architecture of the mosque and the surrounding buildings. Surely there are no such buildings at our hometown, Sungai Petani.

The mosque said to have no common coolant such as fixed fan and air conditioner but installed with gas district cooling system. The architecture concept of the mosque which are open without any window making the mosque stay cool even on the hot day. The mosque also surrounded by large infinity pool at each of its sides, maybe it also contribute to the cooling of the mosque.

The mosque also said to be built mainly by using iron. Only 30% of the building consist of concrete while the remain 70% of the building being built by using iron. Maybe that is the reason why the mosque known as Masjid Besi or Iron Mosque.

Family Gathering 2017 (3) : Return Back Home

Our parent was longing to meet their grandkids. We agreed to bring them to our sister’s house at Kajang. There we entertained our nephews and nieces, brought them to picnic and cycling at Putrajaya Botanical Garden. We were spending two nights at our sister’s house. Today we will return back to our hometown Sungai Petani. Today is Thursday and tomorrow will be Eid Al-Adha, one of the two holy celebration celebrated by Muslim around the world. The celebration is held in conjunction with the time of Muslim going to Mecca for pilgrim. At their hometown, Muslims celebrate this celebration by sacrificing a goat or a cow. The deed was inspired by the story of Abraham and his son Ishmael. This year however, the Eid Al-Adha eve coincide with Malaysia National day on 31th August. So Malaysian will having a very long holiday. In addition on that, our prime Minister Mr Najib announce an extra holiday on next Monday because Malaysia won in Sea Sport. Family Gathering 2017 (1) : Granpa Who Was Longing for His Grandkids

One night, my father asked my mother to follow him to Kuala Lumpur to meet their daughter and grandchildren. "Maznah, lets go with me to KL. I can drive myself." He seems to really longing to meet his grandchildren. However my mother was not ready for the long journey. "You can go by yourself. I dont want to follow you." retort my mother. That night then turned into a very silent night. But suddenly the same longing feeling overflowed within my mother. She then discussed the matter with our youngest sister, Khadijah. Khadijah then informed us, her btother and sisters. There we planned our trip to Kajang, to fulfil our dearest parent want, to meet their grandchildren. We became more excited when our newly wed sister, Aisyah agreed to follow us with her husband, Fauzi. On the early morning of 29th August, mak (mother) and Khadijah pick Nurul from bus station.
